MoDOT is taking additional steps to ensure you are aware of the latest construction-related restrictions. We are highlighting in red each day's new information so that you can forward this breaking news to motorists in a timely manner.

 

Cass County

New Work Today and Updates/Changes

Route 71: Pavement repairs will close the left lane of southbound Route 71 between 275th Street and Route A from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through August 3.

Route 71: Bridge work will restrict traffic on southbound Route 71 at Route 58 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 30.

 

Clay County

New Work Today and Updates/Changes
Route 9: Utility work will close the right lane of southbound route 9 at Armour from 6 p to 6 a on Aug 1.

TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE: I-35: Lanes on southbound I-35 will shift to the east onto new pavement and the on-ramp from Linn St/16th Ave to southbound I-29/35 will close on Fr4iday, July 30 and reopen in December 2010.  

I-35: Pavement marking will close the left lane of southbound I-35 between Armour and

Bedford from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 30.

 I-35: Wall work will close the right lane of northbound I-35 between Route 24 and Front Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday-Friday, July 29-30.

Route 210: Pavement repairs at night will close alternate lanes of eastbound and westbound Route 210 between Walker Road and Route 269 from 7 p.m. Thursday, July 29, to 5 a.m. Friday, July 30.

Route 210: Resurfacing at night will close various lanes of east and westbound Route 291 between Route 1 and Brighton from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. July 28-29.

Route 210: Road work has closed the ramp from westbound Route 210 (Armour) to northbound I-35 through December.

I-35: Concrete overlay work will close the left lane of northbound I-35 between Route PP and Route 33 through July 31.

I-35: Bridge work will restrict traffic to one-lane, head-to-head configuration on northbound and southbound I-35 between Fishing River Bridge and Route PP through December.

 

Henry County

New Work Today and Updates/Changes

Route Z: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route W in various locations between Route 13 and 7 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 28-Aug 6.

Route W: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route W in various locations at Route 7 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sept 3.

Route B: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route B in various locations between Route N and K from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sept 3.

Route 18: Road work will close a lane of east and westbound route 18 between Route 7 and 8th Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug 1.

 

Jackson County

New Work Today and Updates/Change

I-70: Bridge construction will reduce eastbound I-70 to one lane at the Benton Curve from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday-Friday, July 26-30 and again on Monday-Friday, Aug 2-6.

I-70: Bridgework at night will close various lanes of northbound I-435 at I-70 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on July 29 and July 30. During this time, northbound I-435 traffic will be completely stopped for no more than 15 minutes at each time.

I-70: Bridgework at night will close the on ramp from westbound I-70 to northbound I-435 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on July 29 and July 30.

I-470: Rumble stripe installation will close the right lane of southbound I-470 between Woods Chapel and Strother Road from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on July 29.

Route 12: Utility work will restrict traffic at night on Route 12 at River Boulevard from 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, and again Wednesday night into Thursday, July 29. 

I-435: New pavement construction will restrict traffic on northbound I-435 between Route 40 and Route 78 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through August 10.

Route 9: Road work will cause intermittent ramp closures to the on- and off-ramps from Route 9 to I-70 from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Monday, July 29, 30 and August 2.

I-470: Sign installation will close the left lane of southbound Route 291 ramp from exit 10B to the bridge over southbound I-470/291 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 23-30.

Route 269: Bridge construction will restrict traffic on Route 269 over the Missouri River from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through December 1.

I-470: Road settling has closed all lanes of westbound I-470 to westbound I-435 and northbound Route 71 ramp to westbound I-435 in the Three Trails Crossing until the issue can be resolved. Motorists are urged to seek alternative routes for the next several weeks.

I-435: Bridge inspections will close the right lane of north and southbound I-435 between Truman Road and Route 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through July 30.

Route 291: Resurfacing will close a lane of north and southbound Route 291 between Truman and Route 210 from 7 p.m. to6 a.m. through Sept 1.

Route 45: Bridge inspection will close the right lane of north and southbound I-435 between Truman and Route 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Friday, July 30.

Route 150: Culvert construction will reduce Route 150 to one lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, July 30.

Route 269 (Chouteau Bridge): Bridgework will reduce both north and southbound traffic to one lane between Industrial and Stilwell through September 1.

Route 283: Municipal water line work will close a lane of northbound and southbound Route 283 between Vivion Road and Hill Street through next spring.

Route 40: Bridge replacement will close Route 40 at I-435 from 7 a.m. Friday, July 9 through October 7.

Route 71: Resurfacing at night will close two lanes of north and southbound Route 71 between Gregory Boulevard and Swope Parkway from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Aug 10.

I-435: Pavement recycling at night will restrict traffic and close ramps for a couple of hours at various times on northbound and I-435 between Route 24 and Route 78 through late July.

I-70: Lane re-configuration will close the left lane of eastbound I-70 at Woodland through July. Lanes are restricted to 10 foot lanes at the Benton and Jackson Curves.

I-70: Utility and road work will restrict traffic on both eastbound and westbound I-70 between 31st Street and Sterling Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through November 15.

I-70: Utility and road work will close a lane of east and westbound I-70 in various locations between 31st and Sterling from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through November 15.

Route 71: Ramp reconstruction will close the east outer road of Route 71 between Route 150 and Barat Road until November. Northbound Route 71 traffic seeking to exit at Route 150 will be redirected to exit at 140th Street, then come back around to southbound Route 71 and exit at Route 150.

Route 150: New Pavement construction will close the right lane of westbound Route 150 between Byars and Route 71 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Aug 5.

White Avenue will be restricted to northbound only from Route 150 to 140th Street at least through July.

Route 150: Road construction will close a lane of westbound Route 150 in various locations between Horridge Road and Peterson Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through August.

Route 7: Resurfacing will close various lanes of Route 7 between Route F and Tywman Road from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Dec. 1.

Route 50: Bridge removal and reconstruction will close the Bynum Road/Route 150 bridge over eastbound Route 50 through early October. Traffic on Bynum and Route 150 will detour to crossovers a half-mile east and west of Bynum Road on Route 50, then to the Route 50 access at Bynum. Route 50 will be one lane in each direction through early October, with speed limited to 45 miles per hour.

 

Johnson County

New Work Today and Updates/Changes

Route DD: Road work will close Route DD three miles east of Ridgeview Drive in Warrensburg on Monday Aug 2-23.

Route V: Pavement repair will close a lane of Route V in various locations between Route 13 and where state maintenance ends from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, July 27-July 29.

Route EE: Pavement repair will close a lane of Route EE in various locations between Route NN and 13 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, July 27-July 29.

Route V: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route V in various locations at Route 13 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 6- Sept 3.

Route OO: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route OO in various locations between Route 13 and M from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 6- Sept 3.

Route EE: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route EE in various locations between Route 13 and 2 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 6- Sept 3.

Route E: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route E in various locations between Route 23 and 13 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 6- Sept 3.

Route B: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route B in various locations between Route N and 2 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 6- Sept 3.

Route 13: Construction of a new connection to the Route 13 East Loop will restrict traffic on Route 13 between Route Y and County Road 350 through November 1.

 

Lafayette County

Route 224: Bridge rehab will close Route 224 between Routes 24 and 131 from Aug 4- Sept 9.

I-70: Pavement repair will restrict traffic on eastbound I-70 between Route 13 and Route T from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 28.

I-70: Pavement repairs will close the right lane of eastbound I-70 at Route 23, Route N and Route E from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 29.

Route 23: Chip seal operations will close a lane of Route 23 in various locations between Routes 20 and 24 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 6-Sept 3.

Route W: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route W in various locations at Route 20 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 6- Sept 3.

Route M: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route M in various locations between Route U and I-70 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 6- Sept 3.

Route 40: Emergency culvert repairs will close the Route 40 Outer Road between McDaniel Road and Route WW until repairs are complete.

Route E: Bridge replacement will close Route E over Garrison Creek east of Route 13 from 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, for 35 days.

 

Platte County

New Work Today and Updates/Changes

I-435: Bridgework will close the left lane of southbound I-435 between Skyview and Cookingham from 9 p.m. to on July 30 to 2 p.m. Aug 1.

I-435: Pavement repair at night  will close a lane of southbound I-435 in various locations between Mexico City Ave and Cookingham from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. July 30- Aug 3.

Route 45: Road work will close Union Chapel Road near Parkville at Route 45 at 10 a.m. July 22 through 10 a.m. August 2.

I-435: Pavement repair at night will close a lane of northbound I-435 in various locations between Cookingham and Mexico City Ave from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through August 16.

Route 45: Road work will close Union Chapel Road at Route 45 through Thursday, July 29.

Route 69: Bridgework will close  southbound Route 69 over the Mo. River (Fairfax Bridge) Monday-Thursday, July 26-29.

Route 69: Bridgework will close a lane of northbound Route 69 over the Mo. River (Platte Purchase Bridge) Monday-Thursday, July 26-29.

Route 69: Bridge inspections will close two lanes of southbound Route 69 at I-635 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through July 29.

Route B: Bridge replacement will close Route B over Dicks Creek south of Ridgely through August.

Route 45: Bridge replacement will close Route 45 at Short Creek (South of Route 59) through August 3.

Route H: Bridge replacement has closed the Route H Bridge over Bee Creek through early August.

Route 9: New pavement construction will close the ramp from Briarcliff Parkway to southbound Route 9 through August.

Route A: Bridge deck replacement will close Route A at Route K from Aug 2-Sept 7.

Route B: Resurfacing will close a lane of Route B in various locations between Route 13 and K from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 6- Sept 3.

Route 10: Bridge deck replacement will close Route 10 at Fishing River in Excelsior Springs July 6-Oct 1.

Route A: Bridge replacement will close Route A Bridge north of Hardin on July 5 through August.

Clay County

New Work Today and Updates/Changes

I-35: Bridge work will restrict traffic to one-lane, head-to-head configuration on northbound and southbound I-35 between Fishing River Bridge and Route PP through December.

I-35: TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE - The ramp from northbound I-35 to westbound Armour Road will close at 8:30 a.m. Monday, March 15, and not reopen until December.

I-35: TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE - The ramp from eastbound Armour Road to northbound I-35 will close at 8:30 a.m. Monday, March 15, and not reopen until December.

I-35: Ramp reconstruction will close the ramp from northbound I-35 to eastbound Armour Road until mid-November.

I-35: Bridgework will reduce Front Street at I-35 in each direction through September 2010.

I-35: New ramp construction will close until June 2010 the southbound I-35 ramp to Paseo Boulevard.

I-35: Lane reconfiguration has closed the ramp from north Paseo to northbound I-35 through July 2010.

I-470/Route 50: Bridge construction has narrowed lanes through the interchange, and will close lanes in either direction during non-peak hours.

Route 71: The ramp from Route 150 to northbound Route 71 has closed and will remain closed until summer 2010. Motorists are urged to use White Avenue to the east outer road to the ramp north of 140th Street to access northbound Route 71.
