Oversize Overweight Load Hauling

Financial Responsibility

Applicants for an oversize overweight permit must have approved proof of coverage - a certificate of liability insurance form on file with MoDOT Motor Carrier Services. The coverage must be in effect during all of the applicant’s oversize overweight operations authorized by permit and cover each motor vehicle operating under the authority of the permit in amounts not less than the following:

Minimum Limits of Combined Single Limit Automobile Liability:

Routine                                                       $750,000

Super Heavy and Large Loads                       $2,000,000

Noncommercial Building (House) Movement  $2,000,000

The proof of coverage must list as the certificate holder:
